Tasked with creating a brand identity for Gabriella Rhodes, an artist deeply connected to the Llŷn Peninsula in North Wales, the goal was to reflect her land-based practice and its profound relationship with materiality, the environment and her affinity to modernist design principles.

Gabriella’s artistic journey has evolved over the past three years, transitioning from a traditional ceramic art practice to a sustainable, site-specific craft inspired by vernacular architecture and the earth-building traditions of Wales and the UK.



The brand identity was crafted to honor this evolution, blending a modernist sensibility with the organic, tactile qualities of her work. Clean, geometric typography and minimalist layouts echo Gabriella’s appreciation for modernist principles, while a muted palette and textured elements draw directly from the Welsh landscape. This fusion of contemporary design and rooted tradition creates a visual language that not only amplifies her practice’s narrative but also positions it within a timeless, forward-thinking framework.
